Trade in equipment toward an upgrade

Buy a unit from us and we buy the one it replaces. Take the value as a credit on the invoice or as a separate cash payment; the choice is yours.

How a trade-in works

The old unit never sits in storage waiting for a buyer, and the room is not left without one.

  1. 1

    Tell us both sides

What you want to buy, and what it replaces. Model, serial, and working status for the old unit.

  2. 2

    One proposal, two numbers

The price of the unit you are buying and our offer for the one you are trading in, on the same page.

  3. 3

    Choose credit or cash

Take the trade-in value off the invoice, or take it as a separate payment at pickup.

  4. 4

    Swap on one visit

Delivery of the new unit and pickup of the old one on the same trip where your schedule allows.

Take it as a credit

The trade-in value comes straight off the invoice for the unit you are buying. One document, a smaller capital request, nothing to reconcile later.

Take it as cash

We pay for the old unit at pickup, separately from the purchase. Useful when the new unit comes out of a different budget than the old one goes back into.

Start a trade-in

Tell us what you want and what it replaces. One proposal with both numbers comes back within 48 hours, and the trade-in offer alone within 24.

  • Model and serial numbers if you have them
  • Working status, including any error codes
  • Your date, if there is one: lease end, last case day, delivery of a new unit

Photos help. After you send the form, email them to sales@surgicalequipmentrentals.com with your facility name in the subject line.

Questions about trade-ins

Credit or cash: which is better?

Either works, and the choice is yours. A credit lowers the invoice on the unit you are buying. Cash is paid at pickup, separately from the purchase.

Does the trade-in have to be the same type of equipment?

No. Trade in any surgical equipment against any purchase. A C-arm can go toward a microscope.

Can the old unit leave when the new one arrives?

That is the plan we start from: delivery and pickup on the same visit, so the room is never without a unit and you never store the old one. Your schedule decides.

What if I am buying from another vendor?

We still buy the old unit. The trade-in is easiest when the purchase is ours, and a straight sale works the same way as everything on our sell page.
